Legal Representation Formalized

Save Lake LBJ has formally engaged the legal services of Stewart Whitehead with Winstead PC of Austin to go the distance in opposition of Collier Material’s proposed sand plant on the public waters of Lake LBJ, an area lined with waterfront homes and valuable pristine hill country ranches.

Winstead is among the largest business law firms in the State of Texas. Their Environmental Law Practice Group has significant experience in virtually all areas of environmental law, including regulatory, transactional and litigation matters. They’ve represented clients on matters involving all the major federal environmental laws and their Texas counterparts, including the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). They’ve also represented clients on water law issues ranging from water rights to municipal utility districts and wetland permitting, mitigation, and enforcement matters before a number of federal, state and local environmental regulatory agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD), and the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA).

Stewart Whitehead is from Austin but enjoys spending time at his home in Kingsland on Lake LBJ. He’s been a member of Winstead's litigation practice since 1997. Stewart has successfully obtained multi-million dollar trial and arbitration verdicts and has negotiated multi-million dollar settlements in favor of his clients. Some of his accolades are:
